Influence of PV panel installation on building envelope looking from energy consumption

Abstract:
This paper presents investigation of PV panel installation on building envelope, actually on sides of the exterior wall. As the installation of PV panels can produce energy it can also lead to decreased U-factor of exterior wall. This means that energy consumption will be lowered in this occasion. Energy consumption, energy production and investment compared to standard house with PV panels on roof are compared. Simulation is done for a whole year including both cooling and heating period. Model of the house used is zero-net energy house.
