ANTI-CORROSION PROPERTIES OF GALVANIC COATINGS ALLOY ZNNICO

Abstract:
Electrochemical deposited metallic coatings have very great significance and application in the field of protection materials. Modern research aiming to increase the corrosion resistance and simultaneously reducing the thickness of the protective coating. In this work were carried out research of the corrosion resistance of galvanic coatings ternary alloy ZnNiCo. The deposition was performed ternary alloy under different conditions. Used the chloride and sulphate electrolytes with different concentrations of metal ions, different density of deposition current , constant and pulse current regime deposition and different anode material. The research were performed by the salt chamber, the electronic X-ray Spectroscopy (XPS), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) polarization measurements, X-ray diffraction (XRD), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The most pronounced anti-corrosion characteristics of the coating are shown deposited from chloride electrolyte in which the concentration of metal ions of Ni and Co, and substantially equal to about less than the concentration of Zn ions. It was also found that using anodes which show a high voltage for the oxygen achieves a higher level of utilization of electricity.
